
Busy August Day
Yesterday was an eventful day for your local volunteers!
Starting at 2:06 AM, Pleasantville was dispatched with Thornwood Fire Department for a reported Car Fire on the Saw Mill River Parkway. This event turned out unfounded.
At 4:58 AM, Pleasantville was requested for a residential alarm. The situation was quickly rectified and units were back in service.
Around 4:35 PM, while members were cleaning apparatus, Pleasantville was requested to send our Tower Ladder to cover Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department’s Fire District while they operated at a working fire.
Finally at 7:00 PM, Our members stepped off at Ossining Fire Department’s Annual Firefighter’s Parade. 10 members marched in line with Utility-74 towing our 1902 Antique Hose Reel, Utility-188 towing our 1894 Antique Pumper and Rescue 47 following.
Pleasantville FD came home with two trophies including Second Best Antique and Best Appearing Marching Unit Without Music.
