Monday Nights at Pleasantville FD call for “House Duty” & Rig checks. While at the firehouse, members check each apparatus and the equipment we carry. We test each tool’s function and make sure everything operates properly.
Originally completed in antiquated ways such as paper markings and word of mouth, we have now updated our system. Utilizing a software called PSTrax, our members can now complete inspections in a controlled database.
This allows our department to maintain inventory on all equipment and set notifications when an item needs to be checked or fixed. With PSTrax, we can also maintain annual PPE checks, washes, and monthly Personal Escape System inspections.
