During May, PFD volunteers responded to 17 emergencies, including:
-Fire (Building Fire)
-Rescue (Elevator Rescue)
-Hazardous Conditions (Gas Leaks)
-Residential & Commercial Alarm Activations (Smoke & Carbon Monoxide)
Members trained on ladder and ventilation skills.
Members participated in our Annual Inspection, multiple fire prevention visits, Pleasantville Day, Stayin’ Alive Grant Recipient Day, the Memorial Day Parade, PHS Upstander’s Day and began preparing the firehouse for our Fire Fighters Parade.
House Duty Squads assembled each Monday to check all apparatus and equipment to ensure they in good working condition.
We are always looking for new members. No experience is needed, all training is provided for FREE, and the time commitment is flexible and accommodating. Residents age 16+ are welcomed to join!
