
August 2021 Rundown
During August, PFD volunteers participated in a range of emergency and non-emergency events.
Members responded to 37 emergencies, including:
- Fire (Motor Vehicle Fire)
- Rescue (Motor Vehicle Accident, Lost Person, Elevator Rescue, Removal From Machinery)
- Hazardous Conditions (Gas Leaks, Electrical issues)
- Severe Weather
- Residential & Commercial Alarm Activations (Smoke & Carbon Monoxide)
Members participated in 3 training events focusing on OSHA Compliance, Water Rescue & Pump Operator Skills.
The Fire Prevention Committee completed 3 community outreach events with visits to Tutor Time and The Nicholas Center.
Rotating membership squads are assembled each Monday at the firehouse to ensure all of our apparatus and equipment are in good working condition.
